Nebraska Governor Dave Heineman, chairman of the National Governors Association (NGA), a public policy organization with governors of the 50 states, three territories and two commonwealths as members, and Connecticut Governor Dannel Malloy, Delaware Governor Jack Markell, NGA vice chairman and Rhode Island Governor Lincoln Chafee will participate in this summit.
As part of Governor Heineman’s Growing State Economies Chair’s Initiative, this is the first of four regional summits that will provide governors and senior economic advisors an opportunity to learn from local entrepreneurs, small business owners, researchers and other experts on what works to create high-growth innovative firms.
NGA provides governors and their senior staff members with services that range from representing states on Capitol Hill and before the administration on key federal issues to developing and implementing innovative solutions to public policy challenges through the NGA Center for Best Practices.
