
Mark Yanarella, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Nutmeg Financial Mutual Holding Company, which owns both banks, announced that Castle Bank will soon take the name of Naugatuck Savings Bank, subject to approval by state and federal banking regulators.
Castle Bank was established in Meriden in 1999, and has offices at 100 Hanover St. and 1295 East Main St.
Lawrence McGoldrick, Castle Bank's founder and former CEO, retired this year. Following the acquisition by Nutmeg Financial, he served as Castle Bank's president and CEO.
Naugatuck Savings currently has 13 branches.
