Digital Ad Platform First Round Funding

Local Yokel Media (LYM),  a hyperlocal digital ad platform specializing in monetizing hyperlocal ad impressions, has closed its first institutional round of funding. Participating in the $2.15 million round are lead investor Connecticut Innovations, the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development and Gold Ridge Asset Management.

Dick O’Hare founded the company in 2011 and serves as CEO.  Angel funding sources for the company include Dave Morgan, founder and CEO of Simulmedia, TACODA and Real Media, Joe Apprendi, CEO and founder of Collective Media and Joe Zawadzki, CEO and founder of Media Math.
