
The Sun Products Corporation, a leading North American provider of laundry detergent and household cleaning products including such well known brands as All, Wisk, Snuggle and Sun, signed a long-term lease agreement to locate its North American Technology Center at 30 Trefoil Dr. in Trumbull.
The Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development is providing a loan of $1.5 million as well as Job creation tax credits to offset some of the costs of establishing the headquarters facility in Wilton and the R&D facility in Trumbull, which together will employ almost 200 full time associates in the state. Gregory Frisoli, senior director of Cushman & Wakefield, represented The Sun Products Corporation in the lease negotiations, and Thomas O’Leary, also a senior director of Cushman & Wakefield, represented the landlord, the New Boston Fund. Sun Products was formed last year with the combination of Huish Detergents, Inc. and the Unilever North American Laundry Care business, and has annual sales of more than $2 billion, and will maintain offices and R&D facilities in Fairfield County, Conn.; Salt Lake City, Utah and Toronto, Canada. Manufacturing facilities are located in Salt Lake City, Utah; Bowling Green, Kentucky; Dyersburg, Tennessee; Baltimore, Maryland and Houston, Texas.
